some nice memories of you over the years... best ones:
ages ago, hearing tony callas mention you during a tech session @ his shop one morning & all listers remembering your posts. we all had no clue your name was george or what kind of lab you had. we thought you were an engineer in france, etc.
the silver tip **** you gave to fred fisher that he paid forward to me. it's still in the black cab and looks great with a boot that another kind lister paid forward.
george, thank you for your contributions. to me and others here over the years. please have faith that good times will come again.

I, along with Rich and the others, wish you the best George. You've been an amazing source of information for me over the years. Thank you.

Hey Geo
Geo,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.
Like others I've benefitted several times from your knowledge on this forum and always thought of your contributions of knowledge generous also.
More importantly than anything I hope you're able to get over the loss of your friend.
If getting back into a 993 is what you want, I'm sure with your knowledge and skill you'd be able to get yourself back into a 993 and make it very special indeed.
I'm sure your friend also loved the time you spent together and would love you to carry on with the same passion.
Best regards
Phil

especially that the dismantler who bought the car from the insurance, who came and discussed with me for hours whilst flat-bedding my burnt car etc, was NOT a dismantler after all. He is part of the group.
I was really surprised !!!
thanks all for the warm messages !

If you are able to pop over La Manche for saturday 3rd October, we are hiring Goodwood again for our Porsche-owners Charity event.
There'll be all kinds of stuff going on, and you can have free PAX-rides in any of the cars, and I'm sure there'll be several 993s driven to the limit in the list, mine included. I'm slow, but it means we have time to chat on the way round.....
I think a contingent of 964ers are coming over from Europe, so you might even be able to get a lift to Goodwood with like-minded petrolheads!
Let me know if you can make it, or watch the website for updates in the next few weeks.
Best Wishes!
