Just curious. I was looking for an old used set but for a little bit more maybe will just buy new FIA homologated versions. I was wondering what turn around time your seeing.

I contacted a Recaro dealer when the NGs were announced, but they couldn't give me an estimate on availability and wouldn't take an order. I also considered buying a used pair, but haven't found any at a good price.

Be careful of used if you need FIA. I assume you are aware of the recall they just went through? I'm not sure it is truly an issue as I never heard of a seat failing, but they had to go through a recertification, change something, and do a recall.

Any recommended vendors? I'm going to start calling around myself next week and see I f I can place an order.

I spoke to the owner of planted seat brackets and they said that most likely recaro is pulling out of the aftermarket segment of seats. He said pole positions were slow to get before but and profi's were shipping pretty readily but now it is all stand still and remark just isn't shipping anything.

He recommended getting some OMPs instead.

I heard sometime between oct. and nov. I'd guess it'd probably be later than that though, since estimates are usually aggressive.

Sounds like a bias. Recaro is everywhere. I can't imagine they are pulling out. Why go to all this expense if they are?

just his opinion nothing set in stone. if you are willing to wait i would say wait.

Recaro is not pulling out. Unfortunately Recaro USA has horrible customer service and cannot give accurate lead time. Dealt with them far too many times, now I deal with a vendor who can get me recaro from their oversea's partner, turn around time is around 4-6 weeks. Could be 1 week if you are willing to pay airfreight.

I have two extra sets of recaros for sale. PP in full leather, red stitching, 99 percent new. And also a set of brand new Limited Edition Recaro Japan RS-G ASM IS-11. Both sets in SoCal.
