Default OT arrggh have to work today but nice surprise in NYC garage

Looks to be quite original. I'd like to see what's under the hood.

I have a friend who's aunt has had one of those in pieces but all original sitting in a garage for at least 30 years.

Would be nice to get your hands on all those pieces. If it's all there, and with a box of money, you could have a pre-war classic.

20 years ago they had an appraisal that said it was worth $200k, no idea what it is worth now. Supposedly every piece is there, 100% original and it was running when it was taken apart to do a restoration on that was never completed. From what I understand the supercharged boat tail speedsters like hers are very rare.

Probably a small-block Chevy. It's a replica/kit car.

I took a glance at the interior and it looked like it could be period correct, quite old and had that antique smell. How can your tell its a replica from the pics? Gas cap door?

The gas door is one. The supercharged speedsters had a straight-eight and the exhaust exited on the left side. The top is a new piece too (some place in NY makes it IIRC).
