Default Seat belt receptacles and Recaros

Been on my list a long time...

What seat belt receptacle are people using if they have Recaro Pole Positions? Mine doesn't bend to fit in the side hole, and keeping it outside doesn't seem as safe in the event of an accident...

Not PPs but I used the short rear receptacles, cut the plastic cover off(you might be able to leave it, I didn't try that)

a friend bent the stock ones to fit better

Default Seat belt receptacles and Recaros

I have the same issue.

After much searching, I bought some recommended 997 receptacles that were the perfect length. Except the receiver was the wrong size!!

Back to stock for now.

Sounds like one needs to update both the seat belt receptacles and the seat clips themselves to 997 spec, to remedy this issue. I presume 997 seat belts and 993 seat belts aren't the same length either so this would require some custom fabrication.

I see a business opportunity out there for someone.

Indeed, however the cost of liability insurance needed for things like this is staggering and I suspect this narrows the number of people like me willing to venture in.

Any more infos about the end of the issue? I'm stuck in the same shizzle.

Thanks a lot!

I meant that I am confronted to the same problem: I have mounted Recaro PPs into my 964 and the belt locks are not really fitting. Now I wonder if somebody has a better solution than either upgrade to full 99X GT3 belts+belt locks or use the rear short ones and somehow manage to get the clip between the hip and the side of the bucket seat leather.

Thanks!

Belt lock? Not sure what you mean.

For the receptacle, I have the stock but on the outside of the seat. Not loving it.

Yes I meant the receptacle.

I have the same solution right now but don't like it either...
