meeting Rennlist's creator & more: 2015 P.C.A. PARADE PHOTO THREAD - French Lick, IN!
In the tradition of previous Parade threads (Keystone CO, Salt Lake City UT, Monterey CA, etc.): post your pics! I didn't shoot as many as in years past; will cross-post from other sources.
Was a toss-up between attending nathan1's 993Fest again or Parade ... both scheduled the same week
When invited to Parade's official Historics Display at the Concours d'Elegance, the red jalopy started for somewhere she's never been: Indiana.
...all facilitated once we arrived by a generous 993 RLer I haven't seen in years

Parade 'by the numbers:'
- I read that the "60 for 60" PCA heritage display plus the # of Concours entrants rivaled last year's parade in CA (billed as the largest ever)
- not to mention an impressive Porsche 'museum' of rare & significant Porsches inside the resort
- the local population may have tripled when all the PCAers arrived
- Organizers and media expect >1,100 families & 900 Porsches. (Related article.)
However you add it up, it equals lots of 993s, RLers, & fun

Met Rennlist's creator when he walked up to take 993 pics. The name on his PCA nametag looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. He helped me realize he was THE John D., founder of RL! Warm-hearted, sincere, & humble -- a true gentleman. His shiny 911 Turbo was on display in the Concours.
John-- A true highlight to meet you
...now show us your pics!

After killing bugs fast on the drive to IN, it was time to clean up with friends:
Thanks to French Lick Resort worker Steven P. for e-mailing 2 shots:

For the overnight sleepover, this drove in wearing its pajama socks
Vesuvio Metallic C2S, whose owner was even more impressive than his pristine Porsche:
It parked next to what's arguably my favorite water-cooled 911: The Sport Classic.
... limited 250-car production not even available to order for US delivery

A lot of 'Holy Grail' cars for me, like this 1 from the collection of John Dixon (R.I.P.)...
The second it drove in, I immediately walked up & asked, "Pearlescent Metallic?"
- Driver, "Yes"
"Any chance you're from Dayton?"
- Driver, "Yes."
"Nice to see the Taj Ma Garaj car in person! Years ago I hunted down & posted pics of this car. Wow."
- Driver probably thought to himself ... "Creepy... Stalker..."
..."And how did he speak a hyperlink?"

This is a very accurate description.
I met John quite by accident a few weeks back at a track event. We were chatting up P cars ( he offered me his 964 for a few laps) when out of the blue he says "Did you ever hear of Rennlist?" . . . .
Looks like some very choice eye candy in IN.
Thanks for the pics Jager!

Glad you agreed with the description of John D.
I'm lucky I somehow recognized his last name, or he probably wouldn't have divulged his true superhero identity
I practically wanted to grab a bullhorn & announce to everyone who he was, but instead he softly launched into unpretentious stories of RL's simple origins. So nice meeting him in person. Such a class act.
You're welcome, Al
Wait 'til you see the rest!
However, the show's sorely missing a a Midnight Blue/black 993 TT
