Great pics! Wow so many amazing cars, Speedy looks great as usual and fits right in.

And now I know why the famous Speedy wasn't at 993Fest, till next year.

Baron-- I am not worthy! Any photo compliment from you is high praise. Even without the benefit of your good eye & photography skills, your Turbo leads the pack for how a 993 should be dialed in for perfection, IMHO.

Besides lots of other goodness, I always look forward to an annual re-charge with RL's fun-loving Canadians -- a cool breeze from up north.

Even in 115 degree weather in Washington (any Cabrios drive with their tops down?), it was tough not to make this my 3rd Fest in 4 years.

But since they were the same week, Parade turned out to be the perfect choice for me.

After staying up late for the 'slumber party' under cover with the "60 for 60" group, it was an EARLY start to take the Concours field.
This brave 356 led the way out of the safe & secure air-conditioned cocoon to the Speedster Heritage/History Display...

...followed by a pristine 964 Speedster that literally looked better than showroom floor brand-new,
as if it had just emerged from a time machine that delivered it straight from 1994:

Started the day with top up for the Concours, then dropped it the moment judging was over so others might enjoy how a Speedster's meant to be:

It was amazing to meet a true part of 911 Speedster history at the Concours, but speaking of judging (above):
It was nerve-wracking to compete with the very same 1985 factory prototype that I've hunted down pictures of & posted on RL.

Read more about the high-tier award winner here. Its owners were SO great to meet, as well. The car & their charisma drew crowds to these Speedster celebrities.

Talking Definitely can't find the windshield wipers

Can you find the windshield?

From this angle?

LOW-drag / low-profile!

I was there when the owner drove his diesel tractor in -- quite a sight.

Careful where you walk, then ... I often find myself wandering into trouble

Mike, panoramic tractor lens for you, sir:

I continue to be amazed by the fact that 50s and 60s tractors and refrigerators were both made so aerodynamic in shape.

I think a person's face might ruin the whole 'low drag' concept.

Someone needs to install a set of itty bitty wipers on it. Just because - it needs them!

I wonder what the posts on the dashboard are for?

Only when you get drunk, and than look _up_ at one after waking up on the floor

Remind me closer to wintertime to put some racing stripe and a Mobil Pegasus on my bathtub in Miami.

Was nice rolling with the Forest Green Metallic G-model Speedster again.

Drove with him & his family multiple times in New Mexico's Porsche events, but Last time our Speedsters were together was 2011's PCA-Palooza; Eureka Springs, AR:
