RS Pulley Conversion Question
Im fairly new to my 1995 993 and think my fan bearing may need to be replaced. I have the RS pulley conversion and am curious if the fan bearing changed as part of that. From what I can search, it is the same bearing as the stock part but wanted to double check. Any insight of the group is helpful
Thanks

The RS pulley conversion does away with the fan hub bearing and uses a machined aluminum hub that ties the fan & alternator together.
Maybe you're referring to the updated pulleys instead?
This is what the RS conversion looks like:

To tell you the truth can't really tell the difference between the two. If your going to race the car there may be a small advantage. My concern was looking at the idiot light due to the slight RPM change. Another waste of money on things nice to have but not necessary.

Running a sound system, power seats, A/C, power windows, sun roof, heater blower, high power lighting mods, cigarette lighter powered devices, etc. do not mix well with a reduced changing capacity.
