Are these Porsche Hub Caps Original?
Took these off my 993 as I replaced them with genuine new "C4S" caps, as I felt they befit the car better (and less flashy which is what I like)
The design of these is quite different, in fact they are much sturdier than the ones I got from Sunset (these are metal, the C4S ones are plastic with tabs that can break with time as they get brittle). Wonder if these are original or knockoffs? Will be listing them in the classifieds so would help to know if these are OE or an eBay Isle 5 special. TIA

They look identical to the set that came on my cup II's. From the front they look identical to the ones that came on my 94 speedlines as well. I haven't removed the wheels to see what the backs look like on that set. Both of my cars list painted crest center caps on the window stickers.
My guess is OEM.

Interesting timing...I just picked up new caps from the dealer today, and my old ones (right) which I believe are aftermarket, are metal, whereas the new genuine Porsche ones (left) are unfortunately plastic with tabs that look they'll have a limited lifespan.

You can also generally tell from the front of the cap as it doesn't have the two small holes. The OEM caps do.

OEM would have a different attachment scheme (plastic abs instead of metal round piece) and would have stamped Porsche part numbers. Tom's pictures above explain in in excruciating detail. Generally with Porsche, as with most German automotive manufacturers, if you can't find a part number on the back of a plastic part somewhere, it's not an OEM part.

I'd say the metal ones are genuine Porsche, look identical to a set I got from a 928
They had no markings either.
They are or were a couple of years back at least still available from Porsche, part number started either 928 or 944.
There was a post on the 944 or 928 forum a couple of years ago asking a similar question and someone posted a picture of a metal set of caps they had bought from an official porsche dealer and they had no markings either, they we're just like the ones in the op's picture

I believe this number is fake (search for it on Google and see results, all 3 of them).
The number above also returns only 6-7 results, none of them show the actual part. Pelican says "metallic", which is not "metal".
It's a very small and largely irrelevant thing, though, plastic caps work fine. Except they tend to loose the glued-on color crests.

Here are pictures of my 964 caps. I know for a fact that the ones on my 964 are original, everything on that car is 100% original. I know that these metal 964 caps are NLA.
And a copy of the window sticker showing these caps as an additional option.
Here are the caps that came on my 993. They are identical to the ones in the picture the OP posted. The only difference between these and the ones on my 964 is that the PORSCHE lettering is black instead of gold. When I got my 993 it also was 100% original, I would highly doubt the previous owner would have changed out the caps for knockoffs. He wouldn't even put non-N spec tires on the car.
