Default Advice? C2S in 1994?

Hello,

I would much appreciate your advice on this car, it's in hong kong and the asking price is 398000hkd. I live in hk and can not find a coupe with a decent price most are vastly unreachable many more cabs here.

1994C2S

74,000KM

TIP

Thanks.

That's no S. It's a narrow body 993.

Good to clear that up, thanks. I'm viewing it on Saturday and wanted to go there with the right questions. Cheers.

That side blinker doesn't look oem. I thought factory ones were kind if square/rounded. Paint and interior looks great BTW.

What's that 'cutout' in the top of the dash in the middle? Definitely not original

Yep, those are aftermarket. Maybe from a Kia, or a motorcycle, or a fridge.

A bit sketchy. I wonder if the Alcantara (real Suede is unlikely) affects airbag function at all? Of course we all hope that never is an issue, but I still wonder.

Hmm. Possibly escape hatch to trunk?

I know that 993's are very rare in the Far East and the Middle East but man oh man who works on these cars? They always appear to have questionable things done to them.

That car's had a lot of work done. Seats recovered, wipers misaligned (indicating they were removed at some point -- why?), RS rockers fit terribly, aftermarket fender blinkers, calipers painted red, etc etc. Doesn't look like the work was done very well. Give it a good inspection.

Also looks like the front bumper wasn't reinstalled correctly. There are three tabs at the front of the fenders that are easy to misalign, making the bumper gap a little proud under the headlights.

I also thought 94/95 993s and all cabs had basket handles. Or is that just a U.S thing for the third brake light?

Thanks, to all for your very informative two cents. I will give it a proper look over on Saturday, hopefully finding out what that hatch is on the dash. Will also add some closer shots, Cheers.

Yes, sadly it's pretty difficult to ever get hold of a manual here as there are only a few on the island. When they do go up for sale they are often double that of the tip. So I thought I could either go for a cab with manual or coupe with tip as it is a more realistic price bracket. No luck finding one yet, each car seems to be sold before the add goes online.

To my knowledge, the 993 S was not available until 97...That looks to be somewhat of a hodge podge o' parts
