Default ENGINE BAY FOAM PAD

I have searched, however I must be calling it something it is not. So I will post and hope you gents can direct me to the answer. A fellow RLer I think, sells a replacement foam piece for the inside upper engine bay that seems to wrinkle after 20 years.

TIA Jack

Try 'sound pad'.

Sound deadening or sound proofing.

Brilliant - just what I needed, will tidy up that mess! Good to know there is a 'solution', as I had this on my list whenever the next 'engine out' service was going to be performed.

i did need to use a dremmel to fit the passenger side and cut down the peg 1/2 way over the blower. non event. the product works as it should, pricey though.

Why not leave it out? That is one of the items deleted in my RS America. It actually gave the engine a nice little burble when starting it in the morning.

David is a great guy with a really well designed product. Install for me was 5 minutes tops, simple thumb screws that attach to the existing posts. before and after pictures

I took my (some-what) saggy engine sound deadening pad out last summer with hopes for more flat six audio in the cabin...Mission accomplished! Not overly loud, but I can definitely hear my Motorsound intake howl a bit more now.

If your engine pad is sagging ~ replace it. Or get rid of it all together.

Just ordered a pad keeper from David. Great communication and within mins it was in the mail, should be here in 2 days. He also sent me 4 docs with pictures and a how-to DYI, looks just as simple as others have stated it to be. Will post before and after pics over the weekend.

Glad I could address the only eyesore in the engine bay!
