Default Steering rack rebuild source in SoCal

My steering rack just recently starting leaving a puddle on the garage floor. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but not sure if I'm brave enough to do the rebuild myself.

Anyone in SoCal have a good source for a reasonably priced rack rebuild? I can do the R&R, just looking for someone who has done the rebuild. Thx.

Smile This is your lucky day....

I had Lance Aspesi rebuild my steering rack about a year ago. He is a one man shop in Van Nuys. PM me and I will get you his contact information.

He also built me a close ratio tranny that I am very pleased with. This guy is a SFV treasure.

So Cal covers a lot of area, you might want to be more specific.

Bakersfield, Calabasas, Redondo Beach, Chino Hills, Riverside, Temecula, San Diego, Oceanside, Calexico, Yuma, all are in Southern California...

I'm in the Inland Empire, so I can get just about anywhere in 1-2 hours.

I bought a rebuilt steering rack (with core exchange) from Power Steering Pros. I'm in Nor Cal and my replacement shipped very quickly out of the San Diego area. I imagine you'd have a really quick turn around where you are. I've had no issues since the replacement and the rebuild comes with a nice long warrantee (5 years iirc).

Can't find Lance Aspeci online...anyone know if he's still in biz? Or the best LA area rebuilder currently?

I think I read something recently (maybe on PCA, maybe on here) about making sure that you will receive “your” rack back when you send it in.
It was suggesting that there are some cores floating around that you’d be better off without.
