Default 993RS information/availability/prices (USA)

I'm interested in finding out how feasible it might be to buy one of these cars in the US. As I'm starting at square one, any and all information and opinions appreciated.

Thanks,

Vivian.

There are a handful here in the U.S. these days. Two of them popped up at an east coast dealer about 6 months ago.

Prescott Kelly wrote a good article on the subject in the February issue of Pano.

Thanks Apex, that's exactly the starting point I was looking for. Anybody got any more for comparison, or does this dealer have the US market cornered with two vehicles?

While I'm at it, may I ask your opinions as to whether or not a 993RS represents a better investment value than a 4.0 997RS Then again, I'm probably asking in the wrong place...

The question is, has the price escalation of the 4.0 stabilized in comparison to the price increase of the 993 RS. And you might want to throw a 964 RS in the mix if you're looking at an investment opportunity.

What we do know is that Porsche will never make another air-cooled 911 RS. Meanwhile they've been mumbling that the door isn't necessarily shut on a future manual RS. That may affect the appreciation of the 4.0. I don't see it dropping in value, but perhaps not increasing at as steady of a pace as an air-cooled RS. Hope this makes sense.

^ Makes perfect sense. Speaking of the 964RS, anyone ever heard of a 3.8 litre being available in the USA?
