Default to buy or not to buy 993 targa

http://www.carsauto.com/1997-porsche...ra-c-1076.htm?

does anyone see anything wrong with buying this car rather than it has 130k miles? is it worth 52k?
they recently put work into the car fixing the following.

Recent Service included:
-New clutch disc
-New flywheel
-New Pressure plate
-New Release bearing
-New Ring gear
-New Clutch shaft bearing kit
- New Spark plugs

the autocheck seems to be pretty clean

130k miles for $52k? Wow! Maybe if it was a C2S.

what do you believe the value to be at 130k? $49k? most of these targas ive seen on the market dont have that many miles but they are all at 50k or higher. ive yet to see a blue one for sale. this is a very limited car
Only 1,151 Targa were brought to the US and Canada during the 3 year production and only 567 were produced for the US market in 1997.

so this car is 1 of 567.
im not sure they made a targa cs2

I may be wrong but I thought only the 95 model year had that basket handle brake light.

High 30s...maybe 42 at the very top. So far the list says that he changed the plugs and clutch. What about everything else...rails for the targa roof, suspension bushings and balljoints and motormounts and trans mounts, and what recent work has been done on the engine...etc., etc.

Go look on ebay...993 targas are not getting that kind of money with those kinds of miles.

It is worth what ever you are willing to pay. For me that number would be much lower.

No they didn't make a Targa C2S, I was saying that it is priced at high mileage WB pricing.

All targa and Cabs have the basket handle.

Agree with the others that the value seems a bit high....

Comes with manufacturer's original SUV ride height... Ocean Blue is nice though.

In my opinion, $52K is $10K too high.

As a 130k mi 97 Targa owner, I agree with those above. The roof is awesome, the car is rare, but no way does the market put a premium on the Targa. If you can negotiate to a reasonable price, no reason to run from this car.

Pricing aside, it looks like it has recently had some cosmetic work at the least. New fogs, refinished wheels, polished exhaust tips come to mind. If the mechanicals have been kept up like the cosmetic items, could be a great car. Also comes with a sweet CR-210 and cassette storage.
