Removal of the entire carpeted console where the 6 switches are (ahead of shifter)
I'd like to retrofit option XX2 footwell lights into my 993. I have verified with a flashlight, peering thorough the passenger side access hole, that there are plastic cutouts for the footwell lights (same unit as frunk/engine bay lamp).
Does anyone know of a writeup to remove this carpeted console? Id love to read through before I blindly go and unscrew everything in sight and end up wrecking some valuable plastic clip, like I always seem to do.
I have seen many DiY articles on removing the center console where the brake lever sits, however, I am talking about the front carpeted section into which the 6 switches (hazard, spoiler, sunroof, lock, exclamation point, etc.) sit.
Thank you.

I am, btw asking how to remove this piece. This picture is not my picture, or else I would have figured it out!
Thank you.
Thank you.

I figured it out. I will post a photo guide in a separate thread.
