I have tried 4 different usb cig adapters with zero luck and had the same pop out issues. Then I bought a Noco Genius Boost Lithium Ion jump starter and they include one in the package. Works perfectly with zero pop out. The Genius Boost works great too

Just hardwire one of these into the sunroof switch in the center console and be done with it.

Google "USB 5V power supply"

I just tear a business card in half and wedge it in the side of the plug and it works great. So far my car hasn't caught on fire.

I bought an aftermarket cigarette lighter socket, removed the metal cylinder inside and trimmed it down to use as a shim.

The 993 has the old large style socket one can make a sleeve out of plastic to make a good fit.

I use the belkin in all my cars, very low depth and no pop out issues.

You can fix the pop out by disassembling it and adding more bend to the metal bits on the side, or just a jam a screwdriver in there to add more.

So I bought the adapter that jo-hans shared in post 7. They just arrived from China one of those 3 week deals on shipping... it seems to work fine. The only problem is they were 4 for $10 but it appears I have an itchy trigger finger because I bought 8. So half of them go for free to first four 'pm sents' replys - put address in pm. That'll leave me 4 and ought to 'do me out' as my uncle likes to say.

oh one more thing. the 993 cigarette lighter socket appears to stay hot with ignition off key out. My suggestion would be if you aren't using it remove it etc not liable for fires etc
