Default 993 Crank....

Apparently, cranks are tough to come by..? I need a good on for my '95 993 - anyone have a line on a decent one?

Thanks!

For the price of a factory one you could look at a new GT3 crank and a set of rods. The price of a Factory 993 Crank is just crazy in comparison.

Hi JD,

Call Jeff at Rothsport since he may have a good used one. 503.822.5061 and tell him I sent you.

My sincerest thanks guys!

Steve - sure will..!! Also - the eBay list from LAdismantlers? Pretty pricey, for sure, and have never done business with them.. not a bad thing - but, does anyone know something about them from first-hand experience? Much appreciated!

The other eBay listing.. Not to put too fine a point on it - but any Porsche Parts coming from a "shop/supplier" based in Atlanta - well.. You know.. As well, their "return policy" is non-existent - which concerns me more than a little, especially on a used crank..?

Anyway - my sincerest thanks for the leads and assist!!!

You have good reasons to be concerned. I would never buy such a part off E-bay for those and more.

Steve,

Many thanks for your discretion in your reply - and I believe you and I are in "violent agreement"..

I'll follow up with your lead tomorrow and let you know how it works out, OK?

My thanks again!

Hi Steve,

You are awesome!! Thank you!!!

I tried him a bit ago, and left a VM - and told him no worries about getting back to me, as I'll be at the track all weekend...

However - I did use your name frequently..?? HEH!

Steve, again - my thanks and as well - my thanks for all you do in this community...

Hey JD, not that it matters much, but I've had very good luck with LAdismantlers, they have been very good to us in Tx with 928 parts.

Hi Steve and all..!

many thanks for all the input - got one!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to Steve and Jeff (Rothsport Racing) - who, while out of the office, had one of his folks contact me directly - and even texted me during my weekend at the track.. Stunning service - and way beyond what was expected...

So, I'll try to catch up on my PMs and messages later - but just wanted to post a quick note saying Thank You!

Good news,....

You likely spoke with Earl and yep, he's a peach. Glad to hear that he has you covered.

Hi Steve,

No actually - thank you.. When Earl and I started speaking last Friday evening - I was "just a customer". In other words - I was treated just like any customer, which was a fantastic experience. In fact, he had no idea that this thread was on Rennlist.

Steve - thanks again for putting me on this lead for my 993 crank. The folks you suggested at Roth Sport are outstaning..

John D.
