Will still be traveling on the weekends to look in on my mom post-eye surgery. Be more flexible in a month, and there's a date for the visit to Opo Land. Or is it Opo Wood? Or Opo Ville?

Where's the start point? San Francisco or Alices?

Alice's. Although guessing there may be a few gathering in SF and driving south together.

Might make sense to pick a video point on 35 South of Alice's and shoot there on our way to Canepa. I think i'm taking the 2-wheeled BMW out for some exercise on Saturday morning and can check it out.

Just in case anyone's on the fence about a drive down skyline. This is a more mundane view:

It's really hard to focus on the twisties when you're presented with views like this

I will be staying at the W in Union Square and I will like to meet up with someone so I can follow to Alice if the starting point is in Alice

Skyline Blvd is a beautiful drive but once you get to Big Basin Rd, choices must be made. I'll categorize them as follows:

Alpha Bravo
Highway 9 straight into Boulder Creek, through to Felton, Mount Hermon to Scotts Valley. A pleasant trip through the Santa Cruz mountains.

Tango Delta
Highway 236 through Big Basin to Boulder Creek, Hwy 9 to Felton, Mt Hermon to Scotts Valley. A section of challenging B roads..

Whiskey Foxtrot
Highway 236 through Big basin, Jamison Creek to Empire Grade, Felton Empire to Felton, Mount Hermon to Scotts Valley. Full on adrenaline rush, not for the faint of heart.

What do we feel like guys? It might be prudent to check for road works. I know Hwy 9 from Felton to Santa Cruz is closed at the moment.

That is the only closure at this time.

The one with the fewest bicyclists.

Ain't that the truth!?

I was thinking the last...um...Whiskey Foxtrot.

Most fun. And we want Opo to realize he (and his bad *** collection of cars) needs to relocate to the Bay Area after this drive. Right?

The earlier the better for avoiding bicyclists. I travel over 9 and skyline pretty regularly and rarely see any bicyclists before 9am. After 10am they are everywhere.
