thanks to the shoot ending (and paying ) the glass out respray has begun!

dusty after two days but all the bits are off ... the mirrors were so much easier than the 964!

thinking of spraying the rear decklid grill to match the car as its a bit faded ... any reason not to? (beside strict originality)

Those look like FVD Brombacher wheels made my WORK. I happen to have a set that I'm selling:

FS Link

Gold centers with polished lips on a black 993 would look great! Very period appropriate motorsports looking wheels.

nice pic thanks - thought the ones I posted were BBS ... no?
ie I know they do a "perfect replica" of the 964 CUP I's but I thought they sold BBS rims, not their own BBS reps .. true?

Amazing to see all these pix from S. Africa. I went there on vacation in 1988 (I was posted at the American Embassy in Burundi). It's so great to see something positive from Africa for a change!

Not sure that I quite follow. The wheels that I linked above were co-branded between the tuner shop FVD in Germany and WORK wheels in Japan. FVD sold these for cars in the mid-late '90s. Now FVD sells BBS wheels and doesn't seem to carry WORK Brombacher wheels anymore, but these wheels are still manufactured and available by WORK.

They look very similar to certain model BBS wheels and are often confused for one another.

You're correct. FVD Brombacher are one in the same. Because these wheels were codesigned by WORK and FVD, they named the model "Brombacher" as seen here:

Yeah, there should be a mark somewhere if it is BBS. I think WORK uses/used stickers
