Default OT-Jeremy Clarkson gets sacked by the BBC

Dang, what a bummer. Love the show and love his sense of humor. Wonder what will happen to the other guys, if they will stay or leave.

James May was just interviewed and it sounds like he might leave.

Eh, May and Hammond will follow him out, and the three boys will start the same show with a different name and it'll be a huge hit. Top Gear without them, will go back to what it was before they found lightning in a bottle with this trio.

BBC needs them more than they need the BBC.

Am I the only one that thinks if these celebrities behave like toddlers that they should get what's coming to them? Don't get me wrong-I absolutely love the show, but celebrity or not- hit a coworker and you're fired.

I bet their agents are being inundated with phone calls now. When the dust settles those three will work together again.

That being said, it shows that actions have consequences and Clarkson is his own worst enemy. Whoever picks up the new show will have to monitor him closely.

He always seemed like a nasty ***** to me. I won't miss him. I like the other two guys though.

You are not. I love the show but the line between Clarkson the buffoon on TV and Clarkson the buffoon in a hotel late at night screaming about not getting a steak he ordered and punching some poor bastard who just happened to irk him is now non-existent.

Karma's a bitch... maybe Jeremy will take a moment to reflect on that fact and a lesson will be learn (albeit late in life).

The fact that he's a dick that crosses the line is what keeps many people watching.

Don't expect him, and the millions his prickly persona has made him, to change.

Agree 100%. He should be fired for his actions. Just a bummer to lose a great show because of his stupidity. Agree with the others as well, all three will probably resurface in the not so distant future.

They are all getting on in years. It's time for some new faces to be given a chance.

I am truly glad to see some of the responses here, I thought I was alone in your sentiment as a result of some posts in the "Off Topic" section that I commented in:

I was starting to feel like Oliver Douglas in Hooterville................

What made the show work is the 3 of them. It's the most watched non-fiction program in the world. It's a huge cash cow. They'll probably band together again, make another show, and BBC will buy it up. Clarkson is an *** through and through but the profit the show turned will hurt the BBC and they'll cave eventually.
