Who didn't? It is so disappointing when there is history and knowledge from Toyota available that could have been used in the car's development.

Top Gear was beginning to look tired, almost a caracature of itself. It had a good, long run. Perhaps it was better to go with a bang than with a whimper.

Yeah, thats true. Top gear was a lot of that too. I get the tail out fun aspect, but really, nothing more than a smoke show. I agree with your comparison of the two individuals. You can tell C Harris gets geeked out by cars.

I didn't read or see too much about it because its a bloated whale and its pricey. certainly not a track car.

^^^ This ^^^

Will watch if he/they reappear elsewhere. People make mistakes, he paid the price, maybe he will get help and or learn from it. Maybe not. The three of them make the spark, solo on other shows, enjoyable but not as good when all together. Will miss the STIG and the TG test track and will not renew TG Mag if the three drop as editorial writers.

It takes more then the format, see TG AUS or TG USA or Fifth Gear.

Wish everyone well, feel for the Producer, not his fault, but he will carry the stigma of being the "guy".

Harris likes to race, a lot. I think his videos support his racing addiction. A buddy of mine met up with him at a race last year and said he was a genuinely nice guy who was interested to talk about cars. My friend drives a 4.2 R8 and asked Harris what to get next, and he said "hands down a 997 GT3." So, at least Harris likes 911s whereas Clarkson does not! (Harris also used to own a 997 GT3)

This a thousand times. I know loads of non-car people that really enjoy TG. I personally, would like Chris Harris but, he probably wouldn't appeal to the masses. You need someone that is an entertainer first, and car-person second. Honestly, the show needs a reboot. It's been a successful format but, increasingly repetitive and approaching a parody of itself at times.

Wait, won't they just regenerate another Clarkson next season?

It's a shame, though perhaps this is the best way for TG to have come to an end... To go out in a sudden controversial bang & leaving the millions of fans wanting more is far better for them than aging into irrelevance.

Hopefully now people won't feel such a need to use 'epic' as often....

Yep, they had a really great run. I enjoyed most of the shows I've seen and fast forwarded through those that were "just ok". Should be interesting to see where they turn up next. It's doubtful they'll fade into obscurity.

Default Agreed. +1

None of us are special.... none of us. Mr. Clarkson is a big boy. Big boy rules always trump's big boy people. All the best for the franchise. What's it been? 15 years with these knuckleheads .... What a ride!

R.I.P. .. Top Gear as we know it. Can't wait for the anew ...
