Looks interesting ... not sure I understand the pricing model?

GT SEATS are 435 for the pair or 310 for the single seat

Getting them to reply to email, text, and voicemails was a challenge, but I finally got a response yesterday. As soon as I can get up to SF between the hours of 10am-5pm I'll go check them out. If anyone in the bay area is interested and has the time in there schedule to go here's the address they gave me. Please let me know what you think if you go.

Interesting, that facility is literally down the street from where I am always spending time at... That whole area is basically industrial warehouses so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a shop producing replica seats as F1Spec used to be located in South San Francisco as well, on Maple drive.

Been listed on Craigslist for years. Not sure I would trust some no name replica seats in a crash.

Agreed. Might make nice garage chairs for under a grand a pair. Just picked up a perfect set for 2700 of OEM's.

Maybe I'm wrong but they look like knockoff Pole Positions to me.

http://store.f1spec.com/200130.html if someone is looking for garage chairs.

Then what's wrong with stock? Seriously, nearly every one of our cars is at least a $40K deal. Which should nearly be a rounding error in your portfolio to even entertain being into these cars.

Nothing is wrong with the stock seat, I was just looking to enhance my driving experience. This looked like a inexpensive way to get a taste of what a "race type" seat would feel like.

As for the rest of your comment... Well, I'll leave that alone. I'm probably reading it wrong anyway.

These seats are great. Until, say, you get into a crash and they splinter and injure you.

Or, you find out the cheap Chinese glue they use to make them is loaded with, say, formaldehyde, and causes cancer and/or respiratory illness. (If anyone watched 60 Minutes last night)

No thanks. You get what you pay for. And these are cheap seats
