Default Luftgekuhlt 2, Anyone? (Los Angeles Sunday March 1)

The Patrick Long thing, this time in Culver City. I'm off a cruise the day before, so I'll stick around town to check it out. Rolling up in wife's BMW as I don't think they're looking for 996 Turbos, nor do I want to leave that car for a week at the cruise terminal parking lot.

Yeah. Sounds like it's going to be bigger than the last one, which was cool. Not sure if my car will be operational by then. I may be joining you Ken, in starting a BMW takeover of the event!

Yeah, a 10 y.o. 325i that will have been sitting in the cruise terminal parking lot for the previous week will knock 'em dead.

As will my general issue 328. (I think I forgot the winking smiley face emoticon at the end of my previous comment)

Patrick Long and his buddy had a gathering of air-cooled Porsches last September at a store in Venice. It was a small place, but there were lots of cool cars there.

Here's a blog post by the store where it was at: http://deuscustoms.com/blog/luftgekuhlt/

No problem Dan. There were lots of cool cars there. Magnus was there with one of his, there was a real 993 RS, plenty of 356s, a bunch of cool longhoods, a Paul Newman race car and lots of other stuff I can't remember.

Chad McQueen was there and let my kid climb all over his lightweight 911 ST. We talked for quite a while about his car, mine and going on canyon drives (nice guy!). Anyway, hope to see you there!

Great photos! Looks like one heck of an event. These sorts of events really make me wish my dad didn't sell his '67 911S back in 2009 or so... It was white in original paint too. Oh that car!

This looks like a pretty awesome event, and me and my wife are thinking of showing up with the Little Red. Do we need to register or sign up for this, or do we just show up with an aircooled car?
Cheers!

Doubt it. They were looking for submissions to display last I heard. (Internet challenged on the cruise ship, making our way up from Cano starting today.)

See everyone Sunday. Even randomly met a long time Porsche guy we played golf with just before we got onto the boat into coming out.
