Outstanding! Who cares what the intended use is- drive it, show it off and know you have improved the car !

Sweet ride

Hope I'm not too late to the party. I'm about to embark on the front half of this project starting this weekend. My array of parts looks very similar and I see you too are replacing all the bolts & nuts. What's that, about $8k scattered on your floor? It's the right way to go though.

I'm into this mainly due to a leaking steering rack which is a weak point on these cars, I suspect worsened but the change to 18" wheels. How is your rack? If you want the best WYIT experience a new sets of rack seals is a must ;-)

Thanks for the pictures. They really help me visualize what I'm about to do.

BTW: What torque wrench do you have to get to 340 ft lb on the rear nut? Can you post a pic, I'll do my rear too when I can figure that part out.

Many auto parts stores rent such tools...Purchasing is to large an investment for a very seldom used tool

I know you are a world renowned suspension expert but the OP asked about bushings and is getting suggestions on additional bits to add... intended use makes a big difference.

decided to clear them with the eastwood satin.

this should keep my oily paw prints from sticking to the fresh aluminum.

Jason

What is the status of the car when the work is being done? On Jack Stands?

Do you mind posting a photo if it's not too much.

I can identify with your drive to do all this work. It took me almost 4 years to fix the stuff I must on my car then I sat back and didn't have a good reason to mess with the car anymore. Some of the rewards of owning one of these cars is lost if it doesn't need anything.

I guess it is kind'a like an infant, the need for constant attention breeds commitment and contentment.
