Default 993 Kill Switch with DME relay

Hi Guys,
Need some help locating the 86pin wire from the DME relay in the back of the fuse box. The car is 95 993 and I would like to wire a 6pole kill switch to the relay. Thanks for the help Mark

Bentley has pin 86 as a hot wire (12v) was a red (Re) wire to junction 035. This is DME M 2.10 (1995) R53 (MFI + DI Relay). It also is shown to "join to" Terminal Din code 87 (Power when relay coil is energized), which in turn has other 12V leads connecting to the same 12V junction.

Shows the same connection for 1995/2.

I'm looking for the plug (in the mess above) where the wire is located under the fuse block. Plugs are labeled A thru J (I think). Mark

Why not just pull the DME relay when youre not in the car? Kinda like an old school pull-out radio... LOL (Sorry, I'm of no help).

Ok, the wire was found and the install was completed. If anyone is interested in the directions just let me know. M

Is that not what this forum is all about?

Mark,
You ask for help, you get it; and you generously pay it forward with a "how to" post.

Ya gotta kick down the DIY (with full pics) and full, clearly laid out details. Thanks in advance.

I've wanted to do this for a while. Lessen the chance of the DME relay failing from being monkeyed with repeatedly. Just flip the switch anytime you'd normally yank the relay.

Ok, here's the finish product. As you can see I moved the battery to the center location behind the firewall were the heater unit use to be. I followed the wiring diagram that came with the 6pole kill switch and tapped in to the DME relay which kills the car from running. The relay is located on the fuse block labeled R51. The wire that needs to be cut is located at plug O under the fuse block. Its the smallest red wire that looks like a jumper (both ends are within the plug). Cut the wire in the middle and extend each end to the switch location were one end will be plugged in to ignition switch and the other to ignition coil (see diagram). You will need to buy a cable wire the goes from +battery to the switch, change the connection on all four existing wires that use to be at the +battery, so you can wire them to the switch, connect the resistor to the ground and switch location 1 (See Diagram) and jumper wire from switch 1 to the existing +battery wires .

Battery moved behind the fire wall, wiring was extended to new location.
