Default 285 x 30 x 18 tire on 11" rim

Anyone mount 285's to an 11' wide wheel? I have always used 295 but less options on the wider 295.

If you have use please advise what brand tire and model did you use.

Don't use sumitomo's on an 11 inch wheel, 295's are stretched the 285's would look anemic

I did it on my old C4S but it looks stretched. 295 is way better. Here's a picture, not the best, but hopefully you get the idea...

I switched my 285 sumis from my 10" to my 11" wheels without thinking it would be stretched (being retarded makes you do stupid things) but the look is kind of nice. Didn't notice anything different on handling. But yes it is stretched...

Thanks for the response. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Wheels I Planned to use are 996 twin turbo, Fronts are 8 " wide and rears are 11" wide.

Current tires are Pi Zero's which I don't want to replace with.

I would look at the spec sheet of the tire, too. I am running 275/35/18 NT01s on a 996 Turbo rim and it falls within the spec.

Depends on the tire... Here's my 285/30 Pirelli PZero Rosso's on 18x11 on my NB...

I run 285 Bridgestone Pole Positions on 11" rears. These tires are wider than say Sumi 285s. They have a nice mild stretch look but not anemic or retarded looking.

I had 285s Bridgestone SO2A on 11" BBS LMs, it did look a bit stretch. What made the situation worse is the disproportion with the fronts 225s on 8" rims. The fronts look too bulky vs. rears. Ended up changing to Hankooks 295s and so much better.

i have used as narrow as 275's on 11" wheels.

very stretched
worked superbly for AX class where 275 was widest tyre before i took more classification points.

IMO 275 on 11" wheel gets as good of grip as 285 / 295 due to ensuring all tyre footprint contacts the asphalt.
It does look a bit weird though.

if looks are primary criteria, you may be bummed.
