how big are the crowds at jackson?
snowbird is packed to the gills with tourists.

Weekdays no lines, sat weather was crappy so not so busy. Sunday was packed.

after two days of powder skiing in the happy place known as alta, we will take part in the mayhem that is snowbird tomorrow on saturday. anyone want to join us?

and on even shorter notice, I'm meeting juha at the buffalo wild wings place in sandy at 6pm for beer and food. its across the street from home depot in the large scheels shopping center, 11266 south state st.

Alta is wonderful. I part-time patrolled there in the late 80's/early 90's. I believe the middle pic of the three big pictures (above) of the Alta Backside is a shot of a run appropriately called "Gunsight". Somewhere I still have the "shot sheets" (avalanche gun sightings and elevations) that map and name each and every little piste.

saturday will be a rest from skiing, which means...
driving carts at miller motorsports park!
I'll call mmp cart at 10am to make sure they are open, if so we'll cart at 11am or so.
50mph carts on an outdoor course, great stuff.

We've been skiing now for two days and Todd has been so kind to show us around . Alta is truly a special place!!

No snow up here in the Northwest. I may have to head to Utah for a long weekend to get in any skiing at all.
