Default My first 993

I have been searching for a 993 for awhile and finally bought one about a month ago. I ended up finding a 1996 993 turbo and was told it was the first one in Canada. Anybody know how to find this out? It was in great shape but I had it sent to John Broek in Vancouver so he could give it a once over and give me some piece of mind. It passed with flying colors and that made me pretty happy. Arena red was not my first choice so I decided to protect the paint and have the whole car wrapped a different color. I also had all the lights lightly tinted and added some wheels off my friends 2009 911 turbo. I know some purists won't like what I have done but I'm really happy with how it turned out and it can be reversed with no negative effects on the car. Here are some pics.....

Welcome, it looks like you found a nice one. I personally really like the arena red and wouldn't do anything to it, but I will be interested to see what your "after" pictures look like.

Enjoy! But no matter the "purists"........19" wheels are a significant downgrade. Yes, I have some for my 4S.

What a beauty. I'm sure the interior looks better in person that the picture you posted as well.

So... what the heck color did you wrap it in? Totally curious as is everyone else I'm sure (unless I missed something somewhere here).

That's a beautiful example of a 993 Turbo, congratulations and welcome! Nothing wrong with arena red, but look forward to seeing the new wrapper. Have fun with her!

Here is a better pic of the interior. My car came from Red Deer not Edmonton.

Congrats on your TT!

So are you located in Vancouver? Curious what color are you thinking of wrapping it too? There is basically only one qualified guy who can do it here if you want a perfect job.

There is a thread where somewhere indicating the VIN# for 993TTs which first came into the US and Canada. If I recall correctly, it was actually a group of TT's that were delivered into Canada and mine was one of them too. I think Quad's TT was in the group for the US. You'll have to do some searching for that thread.

Congrats & welcome.

Didn't all Canadian 993tt's have heated sport seats?
