Paint Shop - Thousand Oaks, CA
Hello,
I took a large object last evening driving along the freeway and need to have the hood repainted. Are there any recommendations for the area in the title of the thread...or in Ventura, CA? Polar Silver has more than one paint code...need to make sure I find a place that knows this before I walk in. Thank you in advance.

Dunno any places out there, but L.A. is the capital of great body/paint shops.
It might be worth the hour drive to have a choice of many of the best shops in California, if not the country...
Just a thought

I have used Brace's before but they are a bit of a drive. I am not even certain Brace still has his shop. I'll do a search for him. Thanks!

Three Wheelin'
Id give Jason at RS Enterprises in Ventura a call and ask who he knows. I put my car on a flatbed and send to him 50 miles away just to have him do oil changes so nothing gets screwed up. Beverly Hills Porsche who is just down the street from my office broke my filler and said nothing plus didn't put wheel liner back properly when they did it once. Lesson learned: convenience is not always the best option. Decide on a paint shop carefully! Who cares how far away or cost if it's done right the first time with no headaches?

Just heard from a friend...the exact same thing. Will be swinging by mañana.
2ndof2...you are correct. I used to drive a long distance to have Peter Zimmerman work on my car back in the Redline days. I actually have a guy, Mike Schatz, in Camarillo who is my wrench now.

I would recommend Bastoli Auto Body, by LAX. Well worth the drive. He took care of a rust spot for me in June. The work was top notch. He does 993s all the time.
I was living in TO at the time. I had AAA flat bed the car there and back (I had removed the rear bumper and lights...)
PM me for more info
