Or you could use this as an excuse to install a heater blower bypass (http://www.rennline.com/Rennline-RS-...oductinfo/M09/).

In which case you need the 964 part...

Well, that photo looks like mine before I replaced it the other day! Contrary to another post, it is not a ten minute job….. Three bolts to attack with the one on top is easy. Next comes the bolt to the left, under the rubber bellows. The third, or PIA, is under the bracket for the A/C and very little wrenching room. Loosened all three enough to remove and reinstall with new duct; getting the duct slots to slip under the washers and bolts. This, my one dollar contribution fix……...

Don't drop that left screw. It is a little tight putting it in there, so don't rush it.

If you're stuck in the short term, there are other alternatives - also precludes the engine drop.
