Power Seat Q
I have searched on and read quite a few posts on power seats not working, but still have a specific question...
One of the Vale parking guys at the hotel I am staying at seems to have reached under my seat (drivers' side) in an attempt to adjust it and managed to rip the cable that operates the right hand side for/aft movement from the motor (power seat motor). In an attempt to troubleshoot this I have managed to remove that cable completely (so I have it in hand and it will certainly not operate the seat).
Since I am out of town I have no tools at my disposal, so am wondering if this cable (and its covering) can simply be re-inserted into the motor and adjuster side and become operable again? It appears as if the motor side simply slides into the motor, but not sure of the other end (both ends look essentially identical (squared cable)).
I don't have a flashlight so can't really see what is going on under the seat.
Luckily the seat is in a place that more or less suits me (because I have a 6 hr drive to get home), but I'd like to fix it if at all possible.
Thanks in advance for all help.

This is why I never let a valet touch my cars.
