Just received my euro tail lights. What are people doing with the 3rd bulb that goes in the reflector area toward the front of the housing?
The euro tail lights only have brake and turn signal bulbs. Thanks

Just remove bulb and tape up connector. I’ve had it this way for years - zero issues.

But there is a roumor that if you fit amber LEDs in the red USA rear lights they will actually flash amber.
My Carrera with the so popular C4/C4S ROW rear lights!

This is no rumour, but a fact.
If you are using amber LED bulbs in the rear turn signals, they will shine bright amber/yellow through the red lenses.
Normal incandescent bulbs emit a broad light colour spectrum, and traditionally coloured lenses are used to filter out the unwanted colours.
This does not matter when using LED's, as they emit the desired light colour only. Any amber light will shine right through the red lenses. This is also why it is not possible to use white LED's behind a red lens and expect red light, the result is a white light with a red/purple tint, not suitable at all for road use.
By the way, the euro C4/C4S rear lenses have an additional yellow lens behind the outer red in order to work with normal incandescent bulbs.
As far as I know are both red and amber rear turn signals allowed for use in the US.
Cheers,
Tore
