4300 is factory HID color. 6,000 becomes the Honda Civic aftermarket blue.

I just installed the HID kit from Tore this evening. Another great DIY project that makes our 993's safer, and they look great!

These are seriously bright lights. While no headlight adjustments were necessary for me personally, it's well worth taking a few minutes to make sure you're not blinding oncoming traffic. Moreover, if adjustments are necessary, you'll be glad you took the few minutes to mark a proper reference point. Simply park the car five meters from your garage or a wall and mark the high point over each headlight with some painters tape prior to installation. Then check the levels post installation to make sure you're lights are still properly angled.

Good luck with the project!

Mark high-point of each headlight with painter tape

Verify that the new HID's are proper height

^ Nice.. They also lose the yellow light color the longer you keep it on first time to burn in the color.

Just purchased the HID (4300) headlight kit, License plate LED's and center console LED 's from Tore. I have already purchased the LED kit for tail lights etc. and installed the kit. Could not be happier with the product and quick delivery time.

Hey Ralph,

Thanks again for recommending Tore's lighting products - couldn't be happier with the service or the product. Let me know how you like the license plate and center console kits. Can't wait to see that speed yellow C2SSS soon! Cheers!

Thanks Tore!
I just ordered another set of the LED's and the T Lights for the new C4. They're great!

If you have to drill to enlarge the hole for the bulb, remember to put the drill in REVERSE! I almost drilled right through the lens last time around.

Cheers, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Another happy customer with the 4300k kit. Tore has really put together a nice package. Literally includes all the prope connectors and has a genius bracket mount for the ballast. Nice kit and worth every cent of the cost.

I installed my Tore HID kit (along with a separate foglight HID kit and ALL new LEDs for every light in/around the car) a couple of weeks ago. I'm not particularly in love with the projector performance for the low beams, but I think they're just older technology in terms of the reflector shaping and the quality of the glass projector lens itself. I'd be interested in replacing the glass projector lens with a perfectly clear one, but I'm not sure how hard/risky it would be to replace it (not the main headlight lens, already replaced those, but rather simply the small 2" or so projector lens itself).

That said, I do have one issue - following the upgrade, I can tell pretty clearly that the driver side light has a better cutoff (sharpness) and hot spotting (i.e., the brightest part of the beam is where it should be) as compared to the passenger side. Has anyone else seen this? Is there possible variation among the production of the HID bulbs themselves that impacts how they sit in the housing? I played around with removing and replacing the bulb (albeit the same one) in the passenger side with no real improvement.

Once again a very satisfied customer with Tore's 4300 HID Kit. A vast improvement in lighting and safety in less than an hour (including OCD cleaning of the light assemblies and internals). If you're not totally convinced just yet, check out the new vs. old headlights for comparison. Stay safe out there.

New, late headlight doors with the screw boss are around $13 each from Sunset, part number 993.631.911.00, and IIRC they come with a new seal as well.
