Gotta love that plate combined with the horn-like verticals on the rear wing.

You of course are blessed to be able to drive the real deal on your
streets we cannot or at least aren't supposed to without a few rare
exemptions for display ...therefore we have to custom build our own
examples of the marque to get just a bit of the raw feeling you experience ...
So why not bear with us unfortunates who have to swap and trade and build these cars to the best of our ability to even remotely
resmble what you obviously so easily simply drafted a check for?
When I get a chance I'll post the newly arrived RS CS clone in my
garage with its GT2 clone stablemate,Bert
Yeah, which is what I threw up the Sears '99 pics with the disclaimer of "spot the impostors." (And the horror of a GT1 Evo tagged on the end.........)

Newsflash--absent the Cup (spec) series, these cars started being modified probably beginning when they were on the truck leaving the factory. Unless it's all about VIN/Wagenpass/MSO/Bill Of Sale/Whatever Titling.

Ha-ha!..Post pictures of what you like, it's not going to change my world too much!

The only reason I suggested posting photos of genuine RS, for a change was that it might make a reference point. There does seem to be quite a bit of confusion on here as to what an RS actually is (not for everyone obviously).

You can't just make an RS with a few parts added to a C2, but that's not to say it doesn't make a great car and improve the original car in the eyes of many?

Enjoy your car, I will probably just casually draft a few checks out today for the many RS littering the streets here as you suggest....... away from the world of the internet it's hard enough sourcing a car anywhere these days, let alone finding the £/$ to pay for one!

Your car looks great Bill. Everytime I see a 993 Cup at a club race I go over and drool - I am sure the owners are tired of me doing this. But one thing I have noticed on every one is a "lip" under the front splitter. It runs across the entire front of the car and it kind of looks like an inverted gurney flap but appears to be metal. Have you seen these and was it something from the factory?

Yes, it's a factory part. The part that looks like a gurney flap is made of rubber. Let me dig up the part numbers, I just added these goodies to my RS/CS wanna be car.
