The 993 Cab has sport seats? Wow...hard to find....I never liked the looks of the 964, but have never driven one..Could not live with the burgundy interior..The 3.2 is "old school" 80's Porsche looks with the "pontoon" front fenders going in to the bug eye head lamps...I have had a few 3.2's, 87 targa and 88 cab, both have the G50 tranny and they are like driving a raw VW...the 3.2's are also, per a mechanic, "like tractors" - that is simple and never break down. So if you do not have to have a coupe, I would grab the 993 with sport seats. Bon Chance!
Merci!

I'll be heading down to Toronto to get it inspected on Tuesday at Downtown Porsche.
Both Targa's are New York cars so it would be a much more complicated process..
The 993 Cab is definitely the smarter purchase. As long as everything pans out..

$36,900 CDN and 122km is not too bad for the 993 so long as it checks out. I prefer a cab to targa's but that's just my opinion. Not sure what the deal looks like for the 964 but the manual c2 is sure a fun car to drive and might be worth the switch.

Most Canadian 993's were delivered with sport seats.

Had 80k on it and sold it for 47k 3 years ago
I won't be driving it much so shouldn't be adding to much mileage to it.
From what I'm seeing it's well priced...

My vote is the 993 cab.
Targas can be a bitch to live with. I had a 3.2L for 10 years, and I was never able to get the top properly adjusted. It was always way louder with the top on than off. Uncomfortably loud! Too loud to have a conversation or enjoy music. I eventually gave up and kept a big stash of earplugs in the car, which I wore every single time I drove it (this is from someone with fister IIIs on my 993, and I love the volume...comparatively quiet). Also, Targa tops leak in the rain.
Finally, I believe the multi-link rear suspension is such a significant improvement that there is no question if 993 is an option. Just my opinion...

Looks like the majority is pointing towards the 993..

My 2 cents is that the 993 with those seats are a RARE FIND (yes, I just shouted, in caps).
OMFG - get the 993. SOOOOOOO much nicer looking to me.
It's modernly wonderful looking in that car you've found. You will not be sorry.
