There are many posts about this conversion. It is the single best cosmetic change to a NB 993 - if you spend the time and money and do it right....lots of hardware to change and "once you get it off" items, like oil cooler and A/C resistors, foam, fender welting, front fender liners are different......

This is a write up I did a few years ago....

993 Turbo Bumper Cover Conversion
Changing the bumper cover on the C2 993 from the OEM the Turbo style is a great cosmetic improvement to the car. Following are some hints to do this mod quickly and professionally.

P-Car has great write-up for removing and reinstalling the bumper cover. With photos: http://p-car.com/diy/bumper/

Order the bumper cover (Euro with no bumperettes) from Carnewal: http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm
Look under ‘Exterior’: Turbo Front Bumper Package For P93 Cars

Carnewal (Gert) will provide almost everything you’ll need, except new hardware.

Suggest purchase and install of Carnewal’s ‘front protection bar’. When I bought my kit, Gert included the FPB at no charge. When installing the bumper cover LEAVE OFF the lower ‘rail’ on the bottom. The FPB will fit in the slot a lot better. You’ll see this when you do the install. The FPB is very nice to have with a lowered suspension.

Turn Signals
Use bulbs that have a silver coating on the outside, so they can’t be seen through the clear lenses. They are amber when they flash, but not visible when off. Any good auto supply will have them.

Install Hints
Make sure to ‘dry fit’ the new bumper cover before paint. You want to make sure the fit is perfect, before putting paint on the new part.

When installing the black plastic ‘grill’ in the bumper cover, snap it into place very carefully. The slotted tabs break easily. I put a dab of black silicone sealer on the slot/snap, to prevent the holders from working loose.

The fender beading is a real PITA to install. I used Pliobond instead of staples and glued it slowly in place. I used cut up Starbucks stir sticks and binder clips to hold the glued beading in place. Worked great. Be patient.

Painting Notes
Make sure to provide the painter with your 993’s color code. In trunk near LH shock mount.

I had my painter fill the front license plate holes before painting. That way no plugs and a smooth surface for the ‘Stoneguard’. You will probably never have a front plate on your car, so why have holes? Easy for the painter to do while prepping the new bumper cover.

With the Bumper Cover Off
Change the a/c and oil cooler ballast resistors. They are tough to get to with the bumper cover off and impossible to reach with the bumper cover on. P-Car has a DIY.

Most times the foam sealing that helps keep air ducted throught the a/c and oil cooler fans is falling apart. Good time to replace this stuff.

My suggested list of hardware should include all the screws, brackets, etc. that you’ll need. A lot of this stuff on the car is corroded and is not worth reusing. My car had 20k on it and had been in the rain maybe ten times - and I wouldn’t re-use any of the hardware. Porsche buys the cheapest crap, apparently.

Take the time to clean up the area under the bumper cover. I repainted the area flat black as well.

Extra Parts and Hardware
You can re-use your existing front wheel housing liners, but the will have to be modified – drilled and cut out – to fit. The turbo bumper cover version car comes with a different forward wheel well liner. The rear wheel well liners (for the front wheels) can be used over. They are the same for the turbo bumper cover version car.

These are the ‘extra’ parts I ordered to do a professional install job for the turbo bumper cover:

1 – 993-504-125-01 wheel housing – LH.
1 – 993-504-126-01 wheel housing – RH
1 – 993-505-793-00 support bracket
1 – 993-505-794-00 support bracket
1 – 993-631-181-00 retaining bow
1 – 993-631-182-00 retaining bow
1 – 993-575-740-00 sealing
1 – 993-575-738-00 sealing
1 – 993-575-772-00 sealing – lower
1 – 993-631-141-01 vent drain – splitter bottom drain.
The old ones will break when you try and remove them

4 – 999-190-104-30 rivet
4 – 999-591-764-02 speed nut
6 – 999-591-699-02 speed nut
10 – 999-507-442-02 speed nut
8 – 999-073-081-02 tapping screw
10 – 900-187-103-02 screw
20 – 900-143-159-07 screw
10 – 900-143-113-07 screw
20 – 999-498-008-40 plastic nut
4 – 900-145-092-07 tapping screw
4 – 900-075-260-02 bolt
4 – N-011-666-7 washer
4 – 999-704-150-40 washer
10 – 999-591-485-02 speed nut

999-911-437-40-xxxmm sealing rubber – this is the weatherstripping that goes all around the wheel housing liner.

You're welcome. It's a bigger project than most people think and will take some time to do correctly. Getting the new bumper cover paint to match can be a challenge as well, depending on your color. Arena Red was not an easy match.

Be sure to get the European version, as mike cap mentioned, to get rid of the useless front bumperettes.
