It is for real and it is now mine! After getting a thorough PPI at European Auto Werks in Glenwood Springs (highly recommend by the way) I sealed the deal this past week and drove the car back to Denver this weekend while enjoying the fall colors. The car is a three owner car that is definitely not show quality but is (will) be a nice driver...exactly what I was looking for. It has records from the previous two owners and has 124,000 miles. Maintenance has been good, but wear and tear in the interior and exterior is somewhat of a issue. I was able to purchase the car significantly less than the $30K advertised price so have some room now to complete the necessary work to bring it up to my expectations. For the exterior it will need a thorough paint restore (professional polish, wax), repair cracked rear passenger side turn signal lens (anyone have a nice one), remove the crappy window tent with the steam method, and refinish and install the original Cup II's with new Sumitomo tires. The interior will need a complete cleaning (shampoo carpets) and will utilize a fellow friend of mine that owns a Color Glo franchise to freshen up the front seats and a small crack on top of the dash. Mechanically I will complete another tune-up with spark plug wires, rotors, etc. And for the fun part will add either H&R or M030 springs???, new front Bilstein HD's (rears are new), Elephant Racing Bushings and full alignment and corner balancing. Lastly will get the Fister II for the sound of music...speaking of music will need advice on replacing the speakers/sound system with something that needs no modification.
And finally something about me. I have been active over on Pelican and Early 911S Registry as I have been an active longhood collector, restorer and racer so I have been involved with Porsche's for awhile (by the way my 1972 911T is still for sale). I am excited to finally "exit" that crazy era (people are just getting stupid silly over these cars) and enter into the 993 zone that me and my family can finally enjoy. I look forward to many years of enjoyment with the 993 and the Rennlist family.
By the way if anyone has advice on the above items that I would like to complete on the car please let me know!

Congrats, sir! I'd highly recommend an Alpine radio like what I got that has XM/Sirius. Love having satellite radio in my 993, also got nicer speakers and an amp. Transformed my enjoyment of the car, 10 years after I first purchased it.
Good luck on the other stuff. I'm sure EVERYONE will chime in now on what they know. This is where Rennlist SHINES. It's like group therapy here...

Welcome and congrats. Here are some next steps for you:
1) Post in the 993 Purchase thread
2) Have your VIN decoded so you know what all the options were that this 993 came with
3) Post some PICS! (Or should that be step 1?)
4) Use the search function a ton to research specific topics like suspension upgrades, stereo replacements, interior restoration, etc.
Again welcome and enjoy!
