Such a great car to drive. But when in your early 20's it is not a great car if you are single ....
Any car is a great car if you are in your 20s and single.

I had a '91 in my mid 20's and single. And it was great. I guess I never relied on a car to change my dating situation. Great car regardless.

I used to have a 92 Miata that I used as a commuter car when I was in my early 20's. It was a pretty fun car to drive on the mountain roads but it was just too underpowered. I had bought a supercharger kit for it but never got around to installing it before I sold it. The new one sounds good but it looks to much like a S2000 to me.

I live smack in the middle of Boston and have an opportunity to observe the mating habits of those in their mid-20s on weekly bases, including the Friday night that happened yesterday. Yeah, I agree, anything ANYTHING is good. Until February rolls around and the 'burban crowd tries to get home at 2AM while attempting to hail a taxi by standing on the tallest snowbank barefoot (in my best Valley girl impersonating voice: "cause, like, hills hurt! ). Then they don't care if it's a Miata or a 993.

My full cage in my 993 really turns on the kinky girls when I drive it to the clubs; it's the only thing that has ever worked for me.

I had two first generation Miatas. They were the best British ragtops that didn't brake down because they were made in Japan. I think the original Miata had the best roadster looks.

Jay Leno interviewed the original designers. Two clever guys who loved British cars.

Mazda Miata and MX-5 owners descended on the Monterey Peninsula this past week for the world debut of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 and a group photo shoot to commemorate the car’s 25th anniversary.

http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1409-report-2016-mazda-mx-5-miata-base-engine-has-130-hp/index.html

It may be mightier but not light enough.

^ That blows...130 HP base engine?! You'd figure it would be at least 180 HP these days.

That is 130hp to 2500lbs car vs 180hp to 3600lbs for an Accord. How does it blow? Still 19.23 vs 20 lbs/hp ratio.

Is it not less power to weight ratio of the original? I think it should at least have 150-160 HP IMHO.
