Drivers love Miatas.

Posers, label shoppers, and those who follow what crowd says, hate them.

BTW, the chick cars did OK today: http://sololive.scca.com/ They are in CSP (fast ones), STS, STR, ES and ES-R and scattered in a few other classes. You can find GT3-RSs and assorted high cost machinery in SSP for comparison purposes.

PS. My student is leading CSP after day one and overall PAX too out of 300+ cars that ran today. Keeping my fingers crossed for Friday.

Those that haven't driven it often criticize it and label it as "chick cars." Those that have driven it don't fret and look forward to their next twisty back road drive in the car.

Haters gonna hate.

Drivers gonna drive.
Even so, one does have to question the wisdom of this OEM paint scheme:

That's the 987 Boxster. I have no love for that car's design (Spyder aside).

I hope that this car is a resounding success.

I hope the Alfa sells out.

I hope Lotus brings a girl to the dance too.

AND, I hope Porsche notices and builds a 2500 lb sportscar to compete.

Sorry, but I don't get that comparison, but certainly politically incorrect. It's hard to believe that in 2014, we still have folks that want say rude stuff like this comment.

I own a low mileage "rare" (in terms of Miata's) 1st Gen NA and think they're AWESOME cars. Dollar-for-dollar, the most fun car to drive IMO.

There are some highly competitive teams running Miata's in the Continental Tire Challenge Series. I wonder how long it will be before we see the newest rendition on the racetrack.

Miata, the most raced car in the world.

Yup. They are wonderful cars. Currently share 2 NAs with my racing partner (1 for sprint races, 1 enduro), and we wrote off our 1st build a few years ago.

I'm with you. I love Miatas (owned 3) but this one looks like a catfish gone mad

Well, I laughed. We use to call that "Jumping on a Grenade".

I know others referenced the political incorrectness of the above, I for one cannot wait for that mindless thought control phase (being politically correct, aka afraid of free speech) in history to pass, hopefully it will in my lifetime. Sermon Over.....

^^^ Personally, I try hard to never be "politically correct."

I'm with you...Fuch political correctness. Say whats real and on your mind; who in God's name wants to be labeled as a politician?

The only thing worse, and mostly the same, is a lawyer

Both are leaches on the body of society.
