97 993 C4S: limited slip differential?
Was a limited slip differential an option on the C4S, or is that something you don't need with all wheel drive?

I remember reading it's standard on all C4 and def on C4S. You still need it with AWD to keep the rear wheel from spinning, although it might be worn out by now.

LSD and ABD were both standard equipment on C4Ss.

Are those codes on the Option Sticker under the bonnet?

Standard on all C4's and Turbo's as well, optional on C2 and C2S's.

Just popped down to the garage to see. The codes: 220 (lsd) and 224 (abd) are
not on my sticker. I guess standard options do not show up there?

Standard options do not show up on the sticker except for C02 (catalytic converter) and 650 (sunroof).

Thanks all!
I too was confused by the lack of an LSD option code on the hood.

Also included from the factory was a guarantee that the LSD would wear out after about 20k street miles.

All 911's should have an LSD from the factory. Sucks (for me and my base model) that they don't.
