Fuchs style wheels
Does anyone have pics of their 993 with 17 inch fuchs/zuchs wheels, similar wheels that are found on the singer porsche? Just curious to see how a 993 would look with those deep dish wheels.

If you haven't seen it, check out related photos & discussion on the "futuristic FUCHS WHEELS" thread:
For 17" 'Fuchs' photos on 993s, start with post #s
Should help get your wheels spinning in the right direction ^^
Dramatic dish is a challenge for clearance, etc., on 993s, but a worthy goal:
I LUVs me some deep-dish lip like the Singers'

This is the first example I've seen on a 993 that looks correct. Maybe it's the machined edge or maybe it's all the black on that car balancing things out, I don't know.
But damn, that looks tasty.

Thanks, I still drool over them. Zuffenhausan (sp?) suggested a more aggressive fit but alan@fikse.com listened to my goals and suggested slightly narrower and offset. I use a 2mm spacer on the front to clear the caliper. Rears have no spacer. Every once in a while if I hit a really big bump or dip a rear tire will rub. I have pss10's at ROW height and it never happens with my 18" track tires which are a smaller diameter.
I wanted a flat finish vs semi-gloss so I needed to send Fikse the oem center cap - (4) 91136103228 black 70mm center cap- and they were coated to match. The whole process was about 8 weeks and $5k. Standard black finish and standard rim is cheaper, RSR finish is more expensive. I have some detail shots of the wheels before tires were mounted that I'll try to dig up.

I believe its the 17" wheel diameter. For me, the smaller rim looks better with those centers (more closer to original design), looks balanced in the wheel openings and really compliments the traditional lines of the 993. When I see 18" or larger Fuchs/Fuchs style wheels on our cars, they start to look too modern and the centers too "heavy looking". Just my opinion.

There's a few mm of clearance to the caliper on the rear wheel but probably not 1/2" which is the next rim width available. Fikse makes the rims with any combination of inner & outer that you want. A NB application would not have as much of a dish. I think singer has wider fenders or maybe their rear suspension has a narrower track than the 993- not sure. Singer takes the fikse wheel and sends them to Weidman for that famous RSR finish. Now if only Singer would sell me those door mirrors or dashboards or door cards or, or

The 18" wheel looks perfectly proportioned with the classic lines of the 993
