JUMP FROM A C4S X51 TO A TT

Consider what you don't like about your present car and if you can't think of anything great. The problem with having a car you really like today is when anything goes badly, expensively or simply differently on its replacement you may have upgrade remorse. My brother had an 911 SC and upgraded to a Turbo 86'. In the long run I think he liked the SC better even with the mechanical fuel injection as most every aspect of owning the higher performance car became more expensive, from brake pads on up and in traffic the boost fun factor is only a boost when joyriding. Be aware a boosted engine runs at a substantially lower compression ratio off-boost than a non-Turbo, listed at 8.0:1 vs. 11.3:1 . This can be annoying to some compared to the Carrera in traffic as it will require more throttle & clutch management in stop and go traffic.

I'm biased so take it for what you want, but I'd jump on the TT, if you have the means to enjoy it and keep her healthy. I do all of my own work and shop around for items I want "need". The cars are not fragile and pretty much bank vaults if properly maintained. Buy a good example and you won't be sorry you did it. Just start saving for the massive amounts of mods you'll yearn for. Good luck

Burning Brakes
I have been known to pass on solids once in a while, but only after flashing my high beams, pointing out turn-outs and honking have all failed.
There are some roads where it's just not safe though. If someone were to come around a corner at the same speed as me then neither of us would be able to stop in time.
Coccobet, have you thought about going the Supercharger route?

I will only weigh in with this - do you want to kill bugs fast or not? I believe in your heart of hearts, you definitely... want to... kill... bugs... 400 hp FAST!
Without the 993 Twin Turbo, you just ain't killing them bugs fast enough - reason enough to buy one. And to do it correctly, it has to be Arena Red with the cashmere interior.
C'mon, you know you want this. Ok, so maybe I WANT THIS... NOW!

I Want it surely
but it misses few important things to me.
I want to keep'em as stock as possible...
is one of my"FEW" limits(-:
that is why I bought the Cozza so speced-up.
I would probably go for a TT WLSII 450 HP
Once I went to check a RUF turbo R
but was in really bad shape.
You all are right
that is why I should buy all
cheers

You have a very special car and with 14 years of ownership, I can understand your hesitation.
But it's a matter of time, once the tt itching starts, it never ends ;-)
Do you have space to keep both? If so, it would be great to keep the C4S aside.
About your TT cons:
- Fuel consumption is not that bad with my TT. If you plan to drive less than 5000km/year, you talk about a few hundreds euros per year...
- Keeping costs: Most TT owners will agree that their maintenance is not much higher that n/a for the same useage.
The real issue about a TT theses days is finding one you like at a decent price IMHO.

I could find enough space for 2 993.
My search is stuck.
All the TT I looked were in bad shape (I am quite ****) especially if you ask for top money.
I found a beautiful C2 guard red/black short gear,3.8 X51 285hp and few RS bits but asking price is 55€ and could be too close to mine.
mumble mumble

+1. I've driven turbo, n/a 993 and 964 in traffic and once you get to know the turbo assisted clutch, it's very light and much easier.

I've had my NB 993 18 years now, have driven a C4S, and have been on track in a 993TT. For perspective, I've also owned/tracked a 996 GT3, 997 GT3RS, and multiple Ferrari's including Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia, 458 Italia.
Compared to the newer cars, neither 993 is that fast, TT included.
Therefore, it all comes down to "feel" and sound, maybe a little looks. With those as the criteria, I say normally aspirated all the way. Stick with the C4S.
Just my 2 cents...
