Default funny...UT 1/18th scale value's rising too

watching everyone that goes thru fleabay, prices have been steadily rising on them there also. What used to sell for $70, is now just above $100. This Red 993 GT2 is a record...too crazy
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251609500569&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:US:1653
snagged a RB RS, and a Yellow GT2 a couple of nights ago, paid about $20 more on each than I would have liked...but still less than half what those fools bid that Red one up too. Not too unusual to see the naked lady GT2, or the Evo GT2 solidly in the $300+ range, but other Red GT2's have sold for around $100 in the last few months.

I really need to get some sort of display case(s) for mine...it all started with just one, then the hoard from Hershey, and now...well, you know.

I've got it bad for these cars as well. I've collected them for a number of years before I got my 1:1. Fun to watch the last of the air-cooled car market (in scale) rise!

well, my 1st one was a gift from a felow rennlister, then another 5(IIRC)@ $10 or less from hershey...slightly more moving forward on others. Between fleabay, and Craigslist additions...I number 13 now. Some bought for around $40, a few around $100, the remainder in the $70 range.

Hershey helped to skew the average cost per unit. Two duplicate pairs of cars, one missing a front wheel(blk/red 993TT-$5 at Hershey). Really need to get some cases to display em, instead of them gathering dust just laying around.

Sad fact - the artist who did the artwork on this car (the original race car) was killed in the Charlie Hedbo massacre...
