Default Heat exchanger hose alternative

During oil change, we must remove the short heat exchange connector which includes appx 2" orange/brownish rubber hose. Replacement from Porsche is sold at a 6 ft section at appx $200.

I utilized a high temp silicone hose from Forge Motorsports. Installed on the car and no issues with fiting it.

The OE is appx 2.1mm thick vs. Forge silicone is 5.1mm

The hose diameter that fits properly is 70mm.
Color choices: blue and black

Appx replacement cost depending on shipping $20

One would think the blue and orange hose in such close proximity would be battling with each other!
Thx for sharing...

Guess you can also put a white hose ... then it would match perfectly if it was an RS America!

Could be a candidate for a group buy. 12 of us could buy 6' and divide it equally. I could use a spare 6" just in case.

I have never had to remove the heater flap/valve assembly to change the oil and filters. I work through the RR wheel well detach one side of the hose leading towards the front of the car from the valve assembly and push it out of the way. I also do not detach the other hard pipe that so many say needs to be removed.
Go figure? Thanks for the tip on the hose supply!

$2.68/inch plus postage (cost was $209.30 for 2 meters) this is the tubing purchased through Suncoast Porsche but it is 73mm not 72mm. I am not sure why the difference. I'll upload a picture of it tomorrow am.
