Destroyed passenger side foglight - options
3M film was no match for Dwane's droving at this week's LCMT DE... I caught a rock and literally smashed my passenger side foglight.
These are, ahem, $250 per side from Sunset. Any other options?
Was wondering, any advantage to getting some ducts instead to flow air to the oil cooler? I plan to add a second oil cooler soon, so maybe that would be overkilll...
Bright side, had the rock hit the bumper, it would have made a nice hole for sure.
Cheers

Thanks guys. Not the end of the world, just usual wear and tear.
Car is fairly minty for a dual-use 993, so will check the real condition of the other foglight and go from there to ensure a good match.
Was initially thinking ducting, but will probably just replace as original.
Second oil cooler, however, is in the cards.
Cheers

Look for a used one, but the problem is that it might not match the driver side in terms of wear. The reflective surface on the inside tends to turn yellow over time. The other option is to find a used one, then repaint both insides with reflective coating. Separating the glass is a major PITA but it's doable and the end result is well worth it.
I think Andreas had a DIY on that a while back.

Mike - you bet, drinks on me. I make a wicked Martini - heck, if you can make it, I'll build as many as you can handle!
PM sent - no rush. That's what duct tape is for.
Harlan - thank you. Hold tight, just in case!
Bill - yeah, no fog here, and they neer really get used. Just looking for something to match the non-broken side for now. Trying to visualize what your ducts are venting - the oil coolers, not brakes right? If I may ask, where did you get them and how is the fitment?
Cheers

I would keep the fogs on a Canadian car, as they are properly wired to be daytime running lights.
With the large vehicles out there, you want to be visible.
