No.
Yes.
Not usually, no.
But in all seriousness, if you think Rennlist is what it is because of the $17 in annual dues that people pay, you're kinda not getting it. When John D was running it on his own, that $17 went a long way. Now it just goes to the giant internet corp that John sold it to.
Today your $17, my $17, along with every other paying member's, is a drop in the bucket compared to what they receive in ad revenue. What still keeps most of us coming to this place is the contributions that the other users/members make to the understanding of our cars by posting problems, solutions and DIYs. It's what allows many of us to keep them without going broke.
Maybe the next time someone goes to report a user's FS post to a mod, they'll take into consideration whether it's just some schlub trying to hawk his wares, or whether it's someone who has actually made a bigger contribution to the site than an annual $17.

I own both Porsches and Volvos exclusively currently and belong to both respective forums. I can't say that the quality of one is better than the other because of the $17 membership. Each has its strengths and weaknesses but to put down one because membership is free is elitist snobbery.

Amen Mike!
And an occasional RL post can lead to a RL DIY party.
