i would like to add the cat delete on my 96 obdii.. only thing holding me back is the check engine light i'll get. has anyone figured out a way to turn it off on an obdii car with cat delete?
i saw fabspeed makes o2 spacers http://www.fabspeed.com/universal-o2-spacers/

would it be safe to plug in the pre cats into the cat bypass but use the spacers on the post o2 before putting them in the cat bypass? ive read youre not supposed to plug the post o2s into a cat bypass or it will burn the pistons. would the o2 spacers allow us to safely plug the post o2s in as well as eliminate the engine light?

You might want to try and get a set of these:

A good exhaust shop can fab them up with some flanges and 2.25" tubing. Fabspeed also offers a SportCat version of their X-pipe.

Magnaflow used to have 100 cell cats too, but they haven't made them for a while.
FWIW I passed CA smog with my 100 cell cats about 1 year ago with no issues (I am OBDI though). You can have performance and still help out the environment... if only CARB realized that!

Who's gonna pay for even more bureaucrats?

Anyway, when the difference is ~15HP from 100% stock exhaust to the "killer" setup on my 3.8L (which equates to under 2MPH on the Thunderhill front straight pull), no way, no how is someone selling me on any difference you can feel on the street.
