Default Mike J's 9th Annual pcarworkshop BBQ - August 16th, 2014

WOW, this will be the 9th time I have done this! The Mike J's 9th annual shop day this year on Saturday, August 16, 2014.

This year we are going to resume the maintenance/repair theme, so the shop/lift/tools will be open as usual, First come-first served, please defer engine top-ends and other heavier stuff for later. In order to get cars through, max time on the lift is 1 1/2 hours - let me know what you want done.

Schedule:
9:00 - The shop is open for mechanical work.

11:30 on - The BBQ will be fired up for lunch depending on the appetites etc (maybe earlier!!)

5:00 - wrap-up

Directions: Click here for a map to 5691 Bessborough Drive Burnaby, British Columbia

Hopefully the weather will be great! Even if it's raining the shop is large enough to have at least two-three cars undercover.

It would be great if those coming would either post or PM me so I have an idea on how much supplies/food we will be needing...

This is a Porsche event, not a 993 only event, and all the models are welcome of course.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike, I will be there; hopefully you know that already. Can I book some time on the lift? .. I'll figure out what I need to get done closer to the occasion :-).

Photographs from last year's BBQ gathering.

Silver 993 C2S, C4S, and TT all together.

RobC, and host MikeJ assist DennisP during a delicate maintenance operation.

I'll be there to capture the event.

The idea has been brought up, this will hopefully be a tie rod pin event, there should be plenty of 993s interested in getting this mod!

August is a pretty busy month for me, but I would love to take a trip up to my Canadian neighbors and hang out.

Put me on the maybe list.

BTW just did my first real mod on the TT today that altered the car.

Thanks to my Canadian friends for the idea. I tucked my front license plate behind the bumper. Had to hack up the grill but have a new replacement on order from Sunset. The old one has a couple of tabs busted out so I decided to modify the original instead of the new replacement.

Unbelievably it was only about US$36.

Johnny
