The red 1156 LED bulbs arrived from Tore today, and I installed them in the sockets in the tail panel (formerly fog tail lamps). This completes the installation for my car, and the brake lights are now awesome!

I'll take a picture after the sun goes down.

I've done the complete package as well and I'm very happy. Included the tag lights as well.
The nicest one for me is the amber rear turn signal on the stock red lenses. It looks great!

+993 on the amber turn signals--I really like them.

I took a shot with my iPhone but the brake lights are so bright they overwhelmed the camera's sensor, and all one sees is glare. I need to get out my real camera and take some better pix.

I missed this thread...looks like a nice upgrade. Anybody has before and after shots?

A bit OT but what's the best source and what type of LEDs for the brake light strip? I have a few burnt out and would like to replace them all with LEDs.

I think most people use T5 red LEDs. You can find them on ebay and the like but most come from China so you've got to wait a few weeks. I bought a set but decided to stick with incandescents.

Here is a shot of all four brake lights after the LED conversion. The color doesn't appear correctly, they look amber in the picture, but they are red, and super bright!

Default Goofy GIFs

Thanks to BobbyT, Tore, FlatSix911 (Ted), and therossinator (Jeff), for lighting up my life

NOT necessarily a good "before & after" photo comparison, just what I have available...

"Before:" in 2009, with 4 incandescent brake lights. (U.S. turn signal housings.)

"After:" Sunday at Monterey PCA Parade Historic Display set-up.
Standard complement of Tore LEDs.
HID headlights. Foglights: Hella Micro DE with Philips HID bulbs & ballasts.

Rear: Tore LED except white reverse bulbs (LEDs from eBay), & inside brake lights bulbs are the remaining incandescents from 2009. That may or may not explain the right one looking dim from this angle. (Euro / ROW turn signal housings.)

P.S. Tore may now have white reverse LEDs & red inside brake LEDs for sale.

Yes, Tore does have those. The ones in my last pictures are red 1156 in the inboard brake light position--very nice!

Default Led from Tore

Installed all today as I was waiting for the back up lights. Easy-Peezy and quite dazzling. Could actually see backing up onto my lift. IMHO, a cost-effective must-have. Thanks, Tore.

Just installed mine. went with the red kit, like the added brightness and it was a tough call on using the relay or not. I kind of dug the Rapid fire blink action, no way you'd miss those hazards blinking.

Just completed adding another set of blinking LED brake lights to the center tail light section ... safety first!

Ted,
Why did you need the LED Decoder?
I have used the fog lights housing for additional break lights, and all I needed was the wiring. The LEDs work fine when I step on the brake.
R.
