Ditto, just placed my order too. The LED reverse lights are a must..

Thanks for the trust guys, I am overwhelmed by the response and feedback.
As mentioned above, I am working on getting reverse/back up and fog bulbs. Just to be sure, what type of bulb sockets are your cars fitted with in these positions?
I got BAY15S/1156 bulbs in my car, and I guess US cars are the same?
Cheers,
Tore

Tore,

Question for you on usable light output. wondering if the highoutput leds are powerful enough for the front fogs or are they just for a look kind of a thing.

thanks,

rob

I have no LED solution for the H3 fog lights. I have tested tons of different bulbs, but none can compete with normal halogen bulbs in this light due to the lens construction. The light pattern of LED's are very different from filament bulbs, and the light is not emitted correctly, and not in the correct places.
I have thought of making a exchange module with LED that will replace the existing internal lens and bulb holder, but have other things to attend to at the moment.
Cheers,
Tore

You can build your own wiring harness, I did on my mine. Recently I found these light sockets on ebay they look like they might fit, verification is required.

This looks like a pretty cool mod. I too don't want amber lenses but would like amber illumination. Better brake lights can't hurt, too.

I did the "rear foglights converted to additional brake lights" mod a couple years back. Do a search and I believe there are a couple threads on it. I bought some GM bulb sockets from the local Napa store and spliced into my existing brake light harness. Not difficult if I can do it.

Hi Mike,

Those bulb sockets look very close to correct. They are for dual-filament bulbs (1157), where the added brake lights need only be single-filament (1156). Something like the ones shown at this link, maybe--hard to tell exactly what the retention tab configuration is from the photos:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-LED-Lig...df2470&vxp=mtr

Tore has some red 1156 30W bulbs sourced for the added brake lights, should be in stock soon.

Great find Bobby! The 1156 socket will work with minimal mods to the locking tabs basically trim/reshape them with a dremel. However, the 1157 socket will provide parking lights and also give you the additional brake lights, again the locking tabs will need some trimming work as well.

This is awesome -- thanks for sharing!

ToreB,

I'd like to place an order, but wanted to request Red LED bulbs for the rear turn signals instead of Amber. What's the best way to make that request?

porsche bud, consider it done. I'll notify you when the 1156 red bulbs are in stock. That'll be in a forthnight or so.
Thanks,
Tore
