Oil Pressure Sender Replacement
My 1996 C2 ROW is pegging its oil pressure gauge above max, so it seems like a new oil pressure sender is in order.
There is good info in the archives, but there is a divergence in advice:
Some folks remove the oil pressure/temp bracket via the two 10mm bolts.
Others just remove the unit itself and leave the bracket in place (adjustable wrench?)
What's the wisdom?

If you can access just the sender unit I'd probably leave the bracket in place. The bracket opens up a larger hole, down at the case level, for ingress of dirt. Also, there's an o-ring at its base that you'll want to be careful of when re-inserting; I managed to tear this o-ring while replacing it during a recent top end rebuild and ended up with a huge oil leak.
